The Katowice Special Economic Zone (KSEZ) was recognized as the best special economic zone in Europe in 2024 by fDi Intelligence, Financial Times, in the categories of Best Industrial Zone and Leader in Sustainability.
Moreover, in the same ranking in 2023, it was ranked as the 4th best special economic zone in the world.

The Katowice Special Economic Zone, the largest Polish special economic zone in terms of investment value (over PLN 50 billion) and number of jobs created (over 100,000), is a suitable solution for companies looking to benefit from public aid in the form of PIT/CIT tax exemptions.

Business Incubator Rawa.Ink

Business Incubator Rawa.Ink this is a place of numerous training courses, events, meetings, a place of integration of start-ups, the local government and the scientific community in Katowice and the region. Due to the cooperation of the Incubator with many partners, actions are taken to develop entrepreneurship. Katowice also supports networking of companies from the business services sector with a start-up environment.

The PAIH supports the international expansion of Polish entrepreneurs, acquires and serves foreign investors, supports Polish investments in the country, and promotes as well as develops innovation. It also provides access to financial instruments, including insurance offered by institutions associated with the Polish Development Fund Group.

Katowice gaming and technology HUB

Katowice has been consistently transforming since the 1990s, and the Nikiszowiec district has changed from a workers’ district into a centre of social and economic life. Nikiszowiec has been designated “the New Technologies District” where the premises of the Wieczorek coal mine will become the Katowice Gaming and Technology Hub.

The New Technologies District was considered a project of strategic importance for the European Funds for Silesia 2021-2027 program due to its spatial and financial scope as well as  the intended use.
